The Vintage 1972 Sherry Cask Finished Whisky is part of Glenglassaugh Rare Cask Release Series. Only the best casks are chosen by Master Distiller Billy Walker, in this case he chose the Massandra Sherry Cask No. 1721. The incredible 44-year-old Highland Single Malt impresses the connoisseur’s palate with a balanced mixture of full fruit flavors and spicy notes.
Tasting Notes
Nose : The complex bouquet opens with velvety plums, ripe figs, sweet toffee, white pepper and aromatic peels of various citrus fruits.
Palate : Mediterranean fruits are accompanied by noble vanilla, spicy nutmeg, creamy dark chocolate and caramelized oranges.
Finish : silky smooth and very long lasting farewell to the palate
