The exclusive Torres Reserva del Mamut is a strictly limited special edition that was only filled with 999 bottles and with which the Spanish distillery Torres honors the work of their master distiller Matías Llobet. The Reserva del Mamut was stored by Llobet himself 30 years ago and has since matured in Limousin oak barrels under his care. The great brandy, made from selected Parellada grapes, has a full-bodied and intriguing character and has a bright amber colour. On the palate, the top brandy inspires with its velvety nature and its wonderfully flowery aromas paired with hints of herbal tea and spices with a long, harmonious finish. The limited masterpiece was bottled in a 0.7 l bottle and 42% vol.
Reserva del Mamut – Aged in Limousin oak barrels for 30 years
The luxury brandy Reserva del Mamut 1985 accompanied the master distiller Matías Llobet throughout his work at Torres and is therefore also a part of his own development. When Llobet joined Torres in 1985, he selected three of the year’s best brandies and aged them in oak casks. The barrels were then stored separately in the cellar of the Vilafranca del Penedès, which is also called “El Mamut” because of its size, and guarded and guarded like a treasure. Three decades later, the exclusive and fascinating brandy was awakened from its slumber and bottled as a limited edition.
