With the Macallan Masters of Photography Magnum Edition, the famous Macallan Distillery from Speyside celebrates the construction and opening of their new distillery. The Magnum Edition is the seventh and strictly limited edition of Macallan’s Masters of Photography series and is only available in an edition of 2,000 bottles. The single malt, composed from eight carefully selected barrels, shows wonderful notes of ginger, oak, citrus fruits, caramelized apple and peat on the nose. It tastes wonderfully sweet of honey, candied dried fruits and butterscotch with some spicy nuances and has a medium-long finish. The limited edition is delivered in a 0.7 l bottle including photos of the photographers involved in an elegant red box with an alcohol content of 43.7% vol.

The Magnum Edition is the continuation of the famous Masters of Photography series. This time, in contrast to previous editions, Macallan collaborated with several world-famous photographers from Magnum Photos, namely Steve McCurry, Martin Parr, Paolo Pellegrin, Mark Power, Gueorgui Pinkhassov and Alec Soth. The photographers captured various aspects of the new Macallan Distillery in their impressive images, which are included in the special edition. In keeping with this, Sarah Burgess, Macallan Whiskey Maker, has composed a malt from eight barrels that differ in their characters, just as the photo style is very different. A wonderful creation and a must-have for collectors.
